The results are in and the Seattle Seahawks have two players on Pro Football Focus’ list of the top-50 players in the NFL heading into the 2020 season.
Bobby Wagner came in at No. 17 overall, a 14 spot drop from 2019, while star quarterback Russell Wilson moved up 21 spots to No. 7 overall.
Wilson was only behind Aaron Donald, Patrick Mahomes, Julio Jones, Quenton Nelson, George Kittle and Michael Thomas.
He was one spot ahead of Lamar Jackson, last year’s MVP.

Wilson’s ascension was fueled by an outstanding 2019 season, in which he was named PFF’s MVP after posting an overall grade of 91.2 for the year, including a 4.08 PFF WAR, well above Patrick Mahomes who finished second.
Wilson completed 66.1% of his passes for 4,110 yards and an outstanding 31-to-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio in 2019, once again playing every single offensive snap for the Seahawks.
Despite the incredible season, and career to date, Wilson has yet to receive a single MVP vote – a travesty that will hopefully be rectified in 2020.
