Russell Wilson hit with unexpected drug test following playoff loss

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was subject to an unexpected drug test following the team’s loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was subject to an unexpected drug test following the team’s 28-23 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the 2019-2020 NFL postseason.

The request came the following morning during his exit interview with reporters at his locker.

Wilson expressed surprise when he was told he had to submit to the test then and there, according to Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest.

But Wilson promptly complied, then returned to business and finished his interview.

The Seahawks’ veteran signal-caller is now 9-6 in the postseason and achieved a second-team All-Pro nod, a first for his career, as well as his sixth Pro Bowl casting in the past eight years. He has recently expressed his view that his team underachieved when most felt they overachieved with an 11-5 record and a playoff victory.

We can expect that Wilson will be even more determined to win when next season rolls around.
