In the aftermath of the somewhat expected release of the Seattle Seahawks’ defensive mainstay of the Legion of Boom era, Russell Wilson sent Bobby Wagner some words of praise and encouragement via Twitter.
To the greatest player I’ve ever had the privilege of playing with. The best is ahead! @Bwagz pic.twitter.com/HUI9M3vJz1

Calling Wagner the greatest player he has ever played with is a mighty-big thing for Wilson to say considering he has played with some who would rank among the best to ever do it at their respective positions, but it also holds significant merit. Wagner will be remembered as a first-ballot Hall of Famer and Seahawks legend when all is said and done, as will Wilson himself.
Wagner, who recently expressed surprise at the Seahawks’ front office not informing him of his release, is still a free agent at this time. There have been rumors that he could join Wilson with the Denver Broncos, but numerous teams will undoubtedly be interested in his services despite his age.
