Carson Wentz’s night ended early in Sunday’s NFC Wild Card matchup with the Seahawks after he took a dirty hit to the helmet from Jadeveon Clowney.
Behind 40-year-old backup veteran quarterback Josh McCown, the Eagles lost, 17-9, to Seattle in a game they never led. But the end to Philadelphia’s season did bring about a classy exchange between Russell Wilson and Eagles head coach Doug Pederson.
As the two met for postgame handshakes around midfield, Wilson made a point to ask about Wentz to make sure he was OK.
Pederson replied that he thought Wentz was OK and that he would be fine. The NFL posted video of the exchange.

Wentz only had four pass attempts before leaving the game due to injury in the first quarter. Clowney was not called for a penalty on the hit.
