Things around the NBA are starting to move after months of stagnation in player movement due to the season stoppage and the Orlando restart. Among the developments being talked about and reported on as somewhat significant comes a major update about the Houston Rockets and the future of the pairing of Russell Westbrook and James Harden.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Westbrook wants out of Houston because he’s uneasy about their “culture and lack of accountability,” while also wanting to have a more ball-dominant role as the lead ball-handler like he was back when he was the MVP of the league in 2017.

There are several possibilities about where Westbrook could go. It’s also very possible he ends up staying in Houston due to the size of his contract. However, there’s likely some team that can talk themselves into it. A team such as the Los Angeles Clippers, who are reportedly looking for an upgrade at point guard, could be one of those teams. Teams such as the Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks looking for star power could also be potential destinations.
