Two days after arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort, the Washington Wizards returned to practice for the first time in four months on Thursday ahead of the season restart near Orlando, Florida.
Upon arriving, the Wizards, and the other 21 teams participating in the season restart, immediately went into quarantine. The players on the team needed to return two negative coronavirus tests at least 24 hours apart before they could practice. Previously, players were allowed to train in small groups at team facilities and were prohibited from taking part in 5-on-5 practices or drills.
On Thursday, teams like the Wizards, Orlando Magic and others participated in practice for the first time since the season shut down in March. The Wizards posted pictures of the players back on the court, including Rui Hachimura, Isaac Bonga and Shabazz Napier among others.
