On Tuesday, the Orlando Magic boarded a bus traveling from the Amway Center to the Walt Disney World Resort some 25 minutes west to restart the 2019-20 season at the Wide World of Sports Complex.

Following the Magic, five other teams embarked on Central Florida to begin a mandatory period where they must stay quarantined until they test negative for the coronavirus twice at least 24 hours apart. The Washington Wizards were among the teams to depart for the restart.

The Wizards will enter the restart 5.5 games back of the Magic in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. They must come within four games of the team in eighth place in order to force a play-in tournament for the final playoff berth.

The Wizards’ playoff chances took a big hit on Tuesday after the team announced two-time All-Star Bradley Beal would not be joining the team due to a shoulder injury. In addition to Beal, the Wizards will also be without Davis Bertans, who announced he would sit out the restart.

The Wizards will return to action on July 31 vs. the Phoenix Suns.
