247Sports’ Allen Trieu:

Long, thin frame. Very smooth, natural athlete. Changes directions and comes in and out of his breaks fluidly. That serves him well as a route runner where he creates separation. Excellent ball tracking skills and body control. Shows ability to make catches in traffic. Solid runner after the catch. Must get physically bigger and stronger. Pure straight line speed is something he can still add more of as well. Should be a very good college receiver who can play on the outside or in the slot and be a difference maker at the Power 5 level.

From The Wolverine’s EJ Holland:

Very skinny and will need to add weight. Out-leaps defenders, great ball tracker and body control. Has speed to get vertical and make plays on deep routes but not overly fast. Makes plays in the open field and turns short passes into big gains. Can continue to improve route running but solid in that area. Athletic profile is there and does everything well but not necessarily exceptional. Should be a very solid receiver on the outside but can also move inside and make plays out of the slot.

Maize N Brew:

Fluid route runner who can snap off his routes with good footwork to change direction. Has outside and slot versatility. Has a slender frame right now that needs to gain weight and strength to hold up against Big Ten competition.

Wolverine Digest:

2021 Outlook: Anthony reminds me of Ronnie Bell as someone who isn’t as coveted or dynamic, but just manages to get open, catch the ball and get the job done. I don’t think he’ll be needed as a true freshmen since U-M is so fast and young at receiver, but he’s got the kind of skill set that just works.
