Even Bryson DeChambeau’s hook shot from the first round of the 2020 Masters looked pretty good compared to what Rory McIlroy did on Friday.
On No. 13 — he was still finishing his first round at Augusta — he hit a drive that went very, very left into the woods. And let’s not kid ourselves here: we’ve all done that. I know I’ve done that. Golf is hard, even for pros who have won majors.
McIlroy ended up with a bogey on the par 5, which seems like a pretty good save considering what happened off the tee.
