Another member of the 2023 NFL draft class has taken over as the starting quarterback for his team. Will Levis has been named the starter for the rest of the season in Tennessee by Titans head coach Mike Vrabel.
The second-round pick from Kentucky has been filling in while veteran Ryan Tannehill has been sidelined with an injury. Vrabel has now made the change permanent, even when Tannehill is healthy enough to play again.
Levis is coming off a tough loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9, a game where he completed 22-of-39 passes and threw one INT with no TDs; Levis played better than the stats indicate. One week earlier, Levis lit up the Falcons for four touchdown passes in a Titans victory.
The promise he showed in that game against Atlanta and his overall upside convinced Vrabel that Levis is the future. How he performs the rest of the season will determine just how long that future might be.
