Along with the return to the court for Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins, Monday’s preseason opener for the Golden State Warriors served as the rookie debuts for Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.
With a pair of picks in the 2021 NBA draft, the Warriors landed Kuminga with the No. 7 overall pick and Moody with the No. 14 selection. On Monday, the duo suited up in their new Golden State uniforms for the first time in the preseason.
Kuminga played 11 minutes off the bench for Steve Kerr, scoring five points on 2-of-6 shooting from the floor. The G League Ignite product added two rebounds and a steal in Golden State’s 121-107 win over the Trail Blazers.

Similar to Kuminga, Moody had a quiet performance in his preseason debut. The former Arkansas Razorback went scoreless on 0-4 shooting from the field in nine minutes off the bench. Moody recorded two assists and two rebounds against the Trail Blazers.
Kuminga and Moody will make their first appearances on the floor at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Wednesday in Golden State’s second preseason contest against the Denver Nuggets.
