Rookie Brandin Podziemski records near triple-double in Summer League loss vs. Pelicans

In the Warriors’ Summer League loss to the Pelicans on Sunday, Brandin Podziemski recorded a near triple-double with 10 points, 10 assists and nine boards.

After being drafted in the first round of the 2023 NBA draft, Brandin Podziemski made his debut with the Golden State Warriors in the California Classic.

Now in Las Vegas, the Santa Clara Broncos product nearly recorded a triple-double in his most recent Summer League performance. Podziemski recorded 10 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds in 33 minutes during the Warriors’ loss to the Pelicans on Sunday evening.

While registering his first double-double, Podziemski was one rebound short of a triple-double. Podziemski also added a steal against the Pelicans.

Despite stuffing the stat sheet, the 20 year-old guard struggled to find his shot on Sunday. While scoring 10 points, Podziemski shot just 3-of-16 from the field with two of his buckets coming from beyond the arc.
