Ron Rivera hosting charity sale of his Panthers gear

Here’s a fun Ron Rivera story.

Washington Redskins fans have heard relentlessly about the character of new head coach Ron Rivera.

And he keeps proving it right at every turn.

The latest example? Rivera is hosting a garage sale in Carolina over the weekend to auction off old Carolina Panthers gear for a good cause.

According to Joe Marusak of the Charlotte Observer, Rivera’s garage sale will raise money for The Humane Society.

Not only will the sale include personal items from Rivera’s collection, but he’ll also be in attendance for a few hours for autographs, which also play into the proceeds.

Rivera spent nine years with the Panthers before the two parties went different ways this offseason. He now calls Washington and the Redskins home, but he has some good business to clear up elsewhere.
