[autotag]Roger McCreary[/autotag] had an All-American career at Auburn and is now looking to start his NFL career. McCreary is widely regarded as one of the top corners in the 2022 NFL Draft.
But where does he rank among the best of the best? According to Bucky Brooks of NFL.com, he is one of the five best corners in the draft. The former NFL scout ranked McCreary as the fifth-best corner in his updated top five rankings for every position in the draft. This should not be surprising for Auburn fans who watched McCreary improve every season and become a shut-down corner in the SEC.
Here is what Brooks said about McCreary.
McCreary is a stingy cover corner with a game ideally suited to play in a press-heavy scheme. He is an aggressive “bump-and-run” defender with the speed, quickness and athleticism to shadow premier receivers at the line of scrimmage.
McCreary made 35 tackles, 10 TFLs, six interceptions, 30 passes defended, and one pick-six during his time at Auburn. He was named a first-team All-American by the AP after his final year at Auburn.
