Monday, Rodney Hudson learned he would not be named to to this year’s Pro Bowl. He was the third leading vote getter in the AFC, but the three-time Pro Bowler would not get the nod for a fourth time.
A day later, he would get the nod for the fourth straight time as the Raiders’ Commitment to Excellence Award winner.
No other Raiders player has been won the Commitment to Excellence Award four straight years, an honor he received by vote of his teammates.
No other Raiders player has won the award more than two times in a row. Back-to-back winners include Charles Woodson, Rock Cartwright, Tim Brown, Greg Townsend, Marcus Allen (twice), Rod Martin, and Ken Stabler.
The record holder for the most times being named to the award belongs to Tim Brown who won it six times. Marcus Allen won it five times.
Hudson is in his sixth season with the Raiders.
