Tennessee kicked off spring practices March 22.
Following Tennessee’s fourth practice on Monday, defensive line coach Rodney Garner discussed junior Tyler Baron.
“I have been pleased with Tyler thus far this spring,” Garner said. “He’s been more in line with what we want to do. He’s practicing harder. He’s been competing. I think he’s trying — he’s straining, just like all the guys.
“We just have to continue to raise our standards and we have to expect more from each other. They have to expect more from me and I’ve got to expect more from them.”
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive lineman and linebacker has appeared in 23 games for Tennessee from 2020-21. He has totaled 51 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, five sacks and two pass deflections.
