Rod Wave ‘proud’ of Panthers QB Bryce Young for his Week 18 performance

Rod Wave, the possible savior of Bryce Young’s career, expressed his pride for the Panthers QB on Sunday.

So, uh, maybe there really is something to this Bryce Young-Rod Wave connection.

The trap-soul artist took to Twitter/X on Sunday to show some love to the Carolina Panthers quarterback, who amassed 275 total yards and a whopping five touchdowns in his team’s 44-38 win . . .

If you’re new to the program, Rod Wave has previously been credited (jokingly . . . maybe?) with Young’s career revival. He posted the following to his Instagram story earlier in the year, when Young was still riding the bench behind veteran Andy Dalton . . .

Young, of course, would soon get his second chance in Week 8—and he never looked back from there. Since then, he completed 197 of his 319 passing attempts (61.8 percent) for 2,104 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions while leading the Panthers to a 4-6 record in closing out an emergent 2024 campaign.

We may never know what Rod Wave told Young. But whatever it was, it certainly didn’t hurt.
