The pool of starters for the 2021 NBA All-Star Game was revealed on Thursday night, and while no Rockets players made the starting lineup, forward Christian Wood finished eighth among Western Conference frontcourt players and represents Houston’s best chance at an All-Star nomination.
Should Wood, who is currently recovering from an ankle injury, be named as an All-Star reserve, it would be his first All-Star selection in just his second full season in the NBA.
A total of 17 Rockets players have been named All-Stars dating back to the franchise’s origins in San Diego in 1967. Eleven players have multiple All-Star appearances for the organization, and five legends have five or more All-Star selections for the team
