Houston Rockets rookie Jalen Green will miss at least one week due to a strained left hamstring, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
Green suffered the injury on Wednesday toward the end of the first quarter in a win over the Chicago Bulls. He injured himself on a drive to the basket and was slow to get up. He eventually shot his two free throws and then went straight to the locker room and would not return.
He recorded 11 points, two rebounds and one assist prior to the injury.
The Rockets will certainly be cautious with the injury to Green and not rush him back into action too quickly. The team likely avoided a major setback based on how painful the injury looked on Wednesday as Green was down on the court.
Jalen Green out with a strained hamstring, will be reevaluated in a week.

Green is off to a strong start this season with the Rockets, averaging 14 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 18 games. He currently ranks third in scoring average among all first-year players and fifth in field goals and minutes per game.
The Rockets will hold him out of action and make a determination on his status in one week. He will miss at least the next three games during that time frame.
