Following Thursday’s NBA draft, there won’t be much of a wait until the Houston Rockets can potentially put their prized rookies on the basketball court against other top 2021 prospects.
The NBA on Wednesday announced the schedule for the Rockets and all other teams at the 2021 Las Vegas Summer League, which takes place starting Aug. 8. To no surprise, with one of the league’s youngest rosters and potentially at least one hot prospect on the summer squad, many of the marquee games from Las Vegas will feature Houston.
In order, the 2021 NBA draft is slated to start with Detroit, Houston, Cleveland, Toronto, and Orlando, with a potential player pool at those selections headlined by the likes of Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, Jalen Suggs, Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes, and Jonathan Kuminga.
As a result, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that each of Houston’s four scheduled summer league games comes against one of the other teams in the draft’s top five. That gives the NBA a chance to showcase many of its top 2021 prospects facing off against one another. All four games will be televised nationally on ESPN, ESPN 2, or NBA TV.
See below for Houston’s complete summer league schedule. Rosters will be announced for each team in the days after Thursday’s draft.
