On Wednesday, July 24, the Houston Rockets announced the entirety of their upcoming 2024-25 preseason schedule.
The Rockets open the preseason with a pair of road games at Utah on Oct. 7 and at Oklahoma City on Oct. 9 before finishing with home games vs. New Orleans on Oct. 15 and San Antonio on Oct. 17.
Tickets for both of the preseason home games at Toyota Center are available for purchase now at Rockets.com.
Houston finished last season with 41 wins after not having more than 22 in any of its previous three seasons. That 19-win increase was the biggest annual growth of any NBA team.
Of Houston’s top eight leading scorers from 2023-24, six will be 23 years old or younger this season: Tari Eason, Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr., Amen Thompson, and Cam Whitmore.
Meanwhile, in the 2024 offseason, the Rockets added to that young core by drafting rookie Reed Sheppard at No. 3 overall in the 2024 first round. Sheppard, who earned first-team honors at the NBA’s recent summer league, should make his home debut (assuming health) in that Oct. 15 exhibition versus the Pelicans.
Below is the Rockets’ 2024 preseason schedule:
Date | Opponent | Time (Central) |
Monday, Oct. 7 | at Utah | 8 p.m. |
Wednesday, Oct. 9 | at Oklahoma City | 7 p.m. |
