Robert Saleh’s endorsement of Zach Wilson as the Jets’ starting QB sounded so ominous

Dread it. Run from it. Zach Wilson still arrives.

With Aaron Rodgers in town, the New York Jets thought their quarterback woes were over. They thought they finally had a playmaker who could elevate their talented roster more than the sum of its parts. Then Rodgers tore his Achilles four snaps into his debut, putting New York back at Square 1.

That’s right, Saleh and the Jets are, unfortunately, turning to a familiar face.

(In the voice of Jim Ross)

BAH GAWD, THAT’S ZACH WILSON’S MUSIC.

Rodgers being out for the season means Wilson will once again be the Jets’ starter. For now, anyway. And even Saleh’s milquetoast endorsement of the former top-2 pick sounded so ominous.

Oh, wow. You can just feel the excitement dripping from Saleh’s words. He sounds so enthusiastic he has to turn to one of the worst starting quarterbacks this century. Again.

The Jets thought they were past their quarterback troubles. They were dead wrong. Because try as you might, you can never escape Zach Wilson.
