Robert Saleh wore a ‘I heart HK’ shirt after Jets players complained about being chosen for Hard Knocks

What a hilarious troll job.

The New York Jets are the subject of this year’s Hard Knocks, but it doesn’t seem like they were fans of being chosen. They were already a late addition in July based on the usual selection schedule, and Aaron Rodgers has professed that Gang Green had the HBO cameras “forced down their throats.”

But after recent reports have stated that the NFL and HBO may accommodate the Jets’ requests to tone down Hard Knocks, New York seems to be warming up to the idea.

Just ask head coach Robert Saleh, who wore an “I heart HK” shirt in the style of the classic design “I heart NY.”

When asked about his shirt, Saleh kept it polite and cordial, saying the Jets’ “concerns” about Hard Knocks were addressed. And he said it with a smile, seemingly acknowledging the murmurs behind the scenes.

Whatever Saleh’s self-awareness score was before this press conference is now irrelevant. It should be a 99 for making an amusing reference to lots of the recent talk like this.
