The newest season of HBO’s Hard Knocks series has officially kicked off with the New York Jets as the featured team. This Jets roster has a few Tar Heels on the team with running back Michael Carter and linebacker Chazz Suratt.
And after the first episode, both were featured in the HBO series.
One moment that stood out came during the Hall of Fame Game last week which was featured in the episode. In that game, Surratt picked off Kellen Mond and was shown making another big tackle. Following the play, head coach Robert Saleh had praise for the linebacker which as caught on tape:

Robert Saleh on Chazz Surratt: "God he’s so fast. I fuckin love that guy."

That’s certainly some high praise from the head coach.
After spending a few years with the Vikings, Surratt is now trying to earn a roster spot as a linebacker with the Jets. He’s in a battle to make the 53-man roster and hearing that from Saleh is a good thing.
We also should be expecting to see more from Surratt during the series as he appears to be someone they want to highlight in terms of a roster battle.
