Robert Griffin III calls Jayden Daniels the Heisman frontrunner

Jayden Daniels seems to have the support of a Heisman winner (and voter).

If there’s anyone who knows what it takes to win college football’s most prestigious award in the Heisman Trophy, it’s someone who has actually won it.

Robert Griffin III recently hosted LSU quarterback and Heisman contender [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] on his RG3 and the Ones podcast, and in the interview, Griffin calls Daniels the Heisman frontrunner.

It’s worth noting that as a former winner, Griffin has a vote for the Heisman.

Asked by Griffin what separates himself from other contenders like Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr., Daniels pointed the finger at his mobility.

“For me, it’s just my ability to go out there and make plays and beat a team with my arm and my legs,” Daniels said. “At the end of the day, you don’t see too many people inn the country doing what I’m able to do with their legs also. So I feel like that’s what sets me apart.”

With LSU’s regular season complete, Daniels won’t have the chance to add to his Heisman resume anymore. He’ll have to wait until next weekend to find out if he will ultimately be taking the trip to New York.
