Yes, this is just as ridiculous as that headline makes it sound.
Rob Gronkowski took a trip back to Arizona where he played his college football and broke an absurd world record. He caught a football that was dropped 600 feet from the air out of a helicopter.
Of course, there are so many questions that come with this.
First, whose helicopter is that? Also, why is this even a world record? Was this even a thing before? I seriously cannot imagine it being a thing before.
Well, regardless, it’s a thing now. And Gronk is, fittingly, the one who owns this record. It doesn’t make much sense but it’s Gronk — it never quite makes sense.
This is just wild. Teddy Bruschi shared a video of it.
Gronk with another all-time moment!

Then he lost it after.
Also @TedyBruschi is easily the best part of this video. 😂 pic.twitter.com/iYOjSj2Wtm

And now Gronk seems to want to return punts.
Looks like the world record has motivated Gronk to return punts next season. 😂

This is pretty perfect. Tampa Bay has to let him field at least one of those things next season. Just for the laughs.
