The long-awaited “Road House” remake featuring former UFC two-division champion [autotag]Conor McGregor[/autotag] has an official release date on Prime Video.
A reimagined version of the 1989 film starring Patrick Swayze is set to debut March 21, according to a press release, with Jake Gyllenhaal in the leading role.
There is a UFC-related story in the film, as multiple scenes involving Gyllenhaal were filmed in front of a live crowd during the weekend of UFC 285 in March 2023.
Along with the announcement of the release date, the first poster for the movie has surfaced, which you can see below:
“Road House” is directed by Doug Liman. Executive producers include JJ Hook, Alison Winter, Aaron Auch, and Paradigm Sports founder Audie Attar. It has a run time of one hour and 54 minutes, and the official film synopsis is as follows:
In this adrenaline-fueled reimagining of the 80s cult classic, ex-UFC fighter Dalton (Jake Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems.
McGregor, who claims he will make his UFC return this summer vs. Michael Chandler on June 29 in Las Vegas, serves as Dalton’s “nemesis” named Knox.
