RJ Davis has been North Carolina’s most consistent and best player so far this season. And the point guard is closing out the month of January with another honor.
On Monday, Davis was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week for his play in two games against Wake Forest and Florida State last week. This is the third time that Davis has won the award this season, the most in the league so far.
Davis averaged 30 points per game last week including a career high 36 points in the win over Wake Forest. He made 23 of his 41 attempts from the field including 6 of 16 from the three-point line and 8 of 10 from the free-throw line.
Armando Bacot has won the award twice this year as well.
The ACC Rookie of the Week was Duke’s Jared McCain and it comes as the two teams are set to square off Saturday night in Chapel Hill.
