North Carolina guard RJ Davis has won his fair share of Atlantic Coast Conference weekly awards so far this season. He’s also the heavy favorite to win the ACC Player of the Year award as well.
And now, he’s earning some more national recognition.
On Tuesday, Davis was one of five finalists named for the Jerry West Award in college basketball. Davis along with Arizona’s Caleb Love, Kansas’ Kevin McCullar Jr., Kentucky’s Antonio Reeves, and Michigan State’s Tyson Walker were named to the finalist list as the season winds down.
The award celebrates its 10th year by highlighting the top shooting guards in Division I men’s college basketball.
