As the regular season winds down, the North Carolina Tar Heels are looking to finish strong. And they could rely on guard RJ Davis to carry them deep into March and hopefully April.
Last week, Davis had a historic game as he scored 42 points in the win over Miami, setting a new Dean Dome record. For his efforts on Monday and then in Sunday’s win over NC State, Davis earned some more Atlantic Coast Conference honors.
Davis was named the ACC Player of the Week for the conference, going into the final week of the regular season. This is the fourth time Davis has won the award this season as he is the frontrunner to win the Player of the Year award in the conference.

The guard averaged 28.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals in two games last week.
Notre Dame’s Markus Burton was named the ACC Rookie of the Week, the fourth time he has won the award. Notre Dame will head to Chapel Hill on Tuesday night to face off against the Tar Heels in the regular season finale.
