North Carolina guard R.J. Davis was not only a standout on the basketball court this past year but he got it done in the classroom as well.
Davis was honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference, earning All-Academic honors for the past year. The guard was one of two UNC players to make the list, joining freshman Tyler Nickel who has since transferred to Virginia Tech.
This is the first All-Academic honor selection for Davis in his three years with the program so far. In order to be selected, a student athlete must have a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
