RJ Davis continues to put together a heck of a season for North Carolina.
The senior guard was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year earlier in the week and he’s led the Tar Heels to the conference title game a few days later. And during the Tar Heels’ battle with NC State in Washington D.C., he’s now set a new program record.
With a three-pointer in the second half, Davis passed Justin Jackson for the most three-pointers in a single season. Davis now has 106, passing Jackson’s 105 which was set back in the 2017 season, the same year the Tar Heels won the national championship.
Davis is averaging 21.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 43.3 percent from the field. He’s shooting 41.1 percent from the three-point line which is a career high for him.
Score has been updated to NC State 61, #UNC 58. An RJ Davis jumper ruled a 2 has been changed to a 3. So RJ now has 23.

The guard has been fantastic all season long for the Tar Heels and is looking to help carry the Tar Heels into a deep run this March. If he continues to play at this rate, the Tar Heels should find some success.
