Ron Rivera says meeting with Burrow and Tua is not just due diligence. They’re real meetings. Rivera likes Dwayne Haskins but says all options are on table.

Yes, the Washington Redskins are meeting with Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa. Yes, there is technically a world in which the Redskins move on from Dwayne Haskins at the QB position, and choose to draft a young QB over Chase Young with the No. 2 overall pick.
Those are possible outcomes from the 2020 NFL Draft. They aren’t probable, but they are possible.
Ron Rivera met with the media at the 2020 NFL Combine on Wednesday and let everyone know that the Redskins haven’t completely made up their mind on what they will do come April. And they shouldn’t have either; with such a valuable pick at No. 2 overall, they should look to find the smartest path and follow it. That path may be Chase Young, or it may be another QB.
Ron Rivera just told the media this is about not closing the door on anything. Called Dwayne Haskins a “good young player.” Is pleased when he does his rounds in the building, he sees Haskins. “You walk by the weight room, he’s there. You walk by the locker room, he’s there.” https://t.co/ituneSsN8Q

Haskins is still the ‘incumbent’ QB1 in Washington, and he’s doing everything he can to hold onto that position. But it’s important to note that everything is still on the table for the Redskins, and that will be how the league has to treat their pick at No. 2.
Be it to spark up trade offers and a legitimate interest in a new QB, we may never know.
