Rival executives expect P.J. Tucker to eventually end up with Sixers

Rival executives believe that P.J. Tucker will eventually end up with the Philadelphia 76ers one way or another.

The trade deadline is a time where teams step up and make big moves in order to boost their chances of seriously contending for an NBA title. For the Philadelphia 76ers, that means adding to a bench unit that has been very up and down and it has been a roller coaster.

One option the team has checked in on is Sacramento Kings forward Nemanja Bjelica who would add a stretch 4 capability to the bench as a backup to Tobias Harris. Another option is a guy who provides that as well as being one of the more underrated defenders in the league as well as having experience with team president Daryl Morey.

The Houston Rockets have been going in the complete opposite direction since they traded James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets and it looks like they are ready to fully commit to a rebuild. Veteran P.J. Tucker is expected to be either be moved before the deadline or just bought out and according to Tom Haberstroh of True Hoop, rival executives expect him to end up in Philadelphia one way or another.

Tucker would be a very nice addition to this roster as he is a guy who provides the dirty work that every team needs when playoff time rolls around and he is a guy who can step up and knock down the 3-pointer. Philadelphia could absolutely come up with a deal to Houston’s liking and if not, they could obviously just wait for the buyout market.
