Ruined King and Hextech Mayhem is a set of League of Legends spinoff games that came out Tuesday. Yes, they’re already up for download and everything!
Riot Games announced Ruined King: A League of Legends Story years ago but we hadn’t heard anything about this turn-based RPG in quite some time — until Riot Forge decided to publish it out of nowhere Tuesday. The game is available on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. I guess Riot Games wanted to pull a Halo Infinite and get this out the door without all much build-up. There’s a Collector’s Edition and everything, for goodness sake!
Check out Ruined King’s launch trailer for yourself below.

But that’s not all! The other debut publishing effort by Riot Forge is Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story. This one is a “rhythm runner” developed by Choice Provisions, the studio behind Bit.Trip Runner series. No stealth launches for Hextech Mayhem, though — the release date announcement was last week.
It’s showtime in Hextech Mayhem: A League Legends Story, the most bombastic rhythm runner from @TotallyChoice. Cause musical pandemonium as you bomb to the beat and groove to the mayhem. Available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, and Netflix coming soon.

Riot Games used to be known as the League of Legends company and little else. Now, it’s the League of Legends company that has a critically acclaimed Netflix adaptation, 600 million players across its games, along with being a publisher. Oh, and that little esports thingy called the 2021 World Championships was just a smidge of a success. They grow up so fast, don’t they?
