Right place, right time: Georgia’s Lewis Cine could be perfect safety prospect for Cowboys

Could Cine be the long-term solution to the safety position Dallas has avoided looking for? Tyler Browning (@DiabeticTyler) dives into the Bulldogs’ tape.

The Dallas Cowboys have long avoided the safety position as a high priority and have gotten by with the play of stop-gap type of players. The multi-year agreements the team made to bring back Malik Hooker and Jayron Kearse are certainly a step in the right direction, but investing high pedigree draft capital in the position is really what’s needed to commit to the changing NFL landscape.

Georgia Bulldogs safety Lewis Cine is an explosive center field safety who helped commandeer the back-end of a championship defense. Cine, an AP All-SEC first teamer, was an effective tackler, but not all that productive with the ball in the air. Does that affect his pro projection?
