Rick Ware Racing has surprisingly been active during NASCAR silly season. After Justin Haley left for Spire Motorsports, the organization brought in Corey LaJoie to finish out the 2024 NASCAR season. Then, Rick Ware Racing leased one of its two charters to RFK Racing for a third entry. So, who could drive Rick Ware Racing’s lone chartered car in 2025?
According to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, the top two candidates to drive full-time in the No. 51 Cup car for Rick Ware Racing are LaJoie and Cody Ware. LaJoie performed well in the No. 51 Cup car to close out 2024, with a best finish of 14th place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Meanwhile, Ware ran in nine races with a best finish of fourth-place at Daytona International Speedway.
Rick Ware Racing’s No. 15 car has an uncertain future after the charter was leased to RFK Racing, but a full-time effort hasn’t been ruled out. Perhaps one of LaJoie or Ware could drive the open entry if the other competitor lands the No. 51 car. It will be interesting to see who drives for Rick Ware Racing in 2025, as the organization has to make a decision.
