Over the past few weeks, tensions have brewed between the Seattle Seahawks and franchise quarterback Russell Wilson.
Wilson, who signed a four-year, $140 million deal with Seattle in 2019, raised eyebrows when he didn’t dismiss the possibility of the Seahawks taking trade calls about him. And a recent report from The Athletic detailed the rift between the Seahawks and Wilson, resulting in Wilson “storming out” of a meeting.
As NFL fans continued to pay close attention to Wilson’s relationship with the Seahawks, it certainly appeared that the drama had drawn the interest of former teammates.
When former Seahawks receiver Jermaine Kearse tweeted an onlooking GIF amid the reports, former Seahawks star (and current 49ers cornerback) Richard Sherman needed one emoji for his reaction.

His lips are sealed.
The tweet was likely either a subtweet of Wilson — whom Sherman has said he’s not on speaking terms with — or a general reaction to all the Seahawks disfunction.
Doug Baldwin also liked Kearse’s tweet.

But either way, it sure looks like Sherman is watching closely.
Shortly after Sherman’s tweet, Adam Schefter reported that Wilson hasn’t demanded a trade, but he would only be willing to waive his no-trade clause for the Saints, Cowboys, Bears and Raiders.
Seahawksâ QB Russell Wilson has not demanded a trade, his agent Mark Rodgers told ESPN. Wilson has told the Seahawks he wants to play in Seattle but, if a trade were considered, the only teams he would go to are the Cowboys, Saints, Raiders, Bears.
