The coronavirus tried to take away college football, but three of the five power conferences in college athletics are pushing through.
Oklahoma began fall camp ahead of the 2020 season before most of everyone. The Sooners moved their first game up to Aug. 29, and now that game is pushed back. They took a week off of practice before returning to the practice fields on Saturday.
Here are the number, position and weight changes from the 2020 spring to the beginning of 2020 fall practices.
Only weight gains or losses more than five pounds is listed. Bold represents a change in number of position. Notes:
- There were a ton of guys who lost or gained right at the five pound mark. Weights seem to fluctuate quite a bit without an organized summer program.
- Adrian Ealy losing 14 pounds from the spring is big. A first big step to making himself a touted NFL draft prospect.
- Robert Barnes certainly bulked up to play linebacker.
- In all seriousness: What are they feeding Austin Stogner? Up 21 pounds since his playing weight in 2019.
- This remains a massive offensive line. Two young pups Noah Nelson and Andrew Raym put on some needed weight.
- Biggest gain—Andrew Raym (293 pounds to 320 pounds)
- Biggest loss—Adrian Ealy (341 pounds to 327 pounds)
