Reports indicate QB Teddy Bridgewater is returning to Detroit

Reports indicate QB Teddy Bridgewater is returning to Detroit now that his HS football coaching season is over

Teddy Bridgewater just couldn’t stay away from Detroit. The Lions’ backup quarterback in 2023 has temporarily ended his retirement and will rejoin the Lions for the postseason push.

Bridgewater stepped away from the NFL to become the head coach of his high school alma mater, Miami Northwestern. The 32-year-old led Northwestern to the Florida state title over the weekend. Now that their season is completed, “Teddy Two Gloves” is looking to get back with the Lions.

On an appearance on the NFL Network with Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, Bridgewater praised Lions head coach Dan Campbell and indicated he’s going to sign with Detroit imminently.

Bridgewater offers an experienced insurance plan behind Jared Goff, who has emerged as a leading MVP candidate. Currently, the No. 2 quarterback in Detroit is Hendon Hooker.
