After recently being tied to NCAA recruiting violations while coaching at Air Force, Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is now reporting that Badgers inside linebacker coach Bill Sheridan has officially resigned.
Sheridan, who was hired back in February, had joined the Badgers coaching staff after having spent the last two seasons coaching the defensive line at Air Force.
This all stems from a Brett McMurphy report alleging that he and several other Air Force assistants hosted recruits during the mandated COVID dead period back in 2020.
UW will now begin their search for a new inside linebacker coach, a position that should yield several promising candidates.
