Report: Washington brings in four DB’s, one WR to workout for team

Washington still has a few practice squad spots to give out, and they’re bringing in some players to potentially fill those soon.

Contrary to many NFL teams on Sunday, the Washington Football Team only announced 13 of their practice squad players for the year, with the final few spots still up for grabs.

With this in mind, it was reported by The Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala that Washington will be bringing in a total of five players to work out for the team on Monday, with four of them being defensive backs, and the fifth being a wide receiver.

These two positions make a lot of sense for Washington to be looking at adding some depth on the practice squad, as they are two of the spots where a single injury could really hurt them this season. They decided to keep only five receivers on the active roster, and six cornerbacks, with a couple of them being a bit prone to injury. We will keep you posted on how the tryouts go as soon as we know.
