Although their season was cut short before the playoffs in the Western Conference play-in games, multiple members of the Golden State Warriors will be on display in qualifying tournaments leading up to the 2021 summer Olympic games in Tokyo.
Along with Andrew Wiggins, Mychal Mulder, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Alen Smailagic, 2020 second-round pick Nico Mannion will reportedly play in an Olympic qualifying tournament for his national team.
According to Sportando, Mannion will join Team Italy in a qualifying tournament that features the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Senegal, Serbia and the Dominican Republic.

Mannion is coming off his first campaign in the Bay Area after being drafted out of Arizona with the No. 48 pick in the 2020 draft. During his debut season with the Warriors, Mannion playing in 30 games, averaging 4.1 points on 34.2% shooting from the field with 2.3 assists and 1.5 rebounds per contest.
Mannion received one start for the Warriors against the Phoenix Suns, tallying nine points on 3-of-10 shooting from the floor with six assists, four rebounds and a steal in 31 minutes.
Italy’s qualifying tournament will take place in Belgrade, Serbia from June 29-July 4. The winner of the competition will punch a ticket to the Olympic games.
