After being ejected from Game 2 and receiving a suspension for Game 3, Draymond Green will make his highly-anticipated return to the series against the Sacramento Kings for Game 4 on Sunday at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
However, the former All-Star forward reportedly won’t return to his starting spot in the lineup on Sunday. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Warriors are planning to bring Green off the bench for Game 3.

Warriors are bringing Draymond Green off the bench today in his return from suspension for Game 4 vs. Kings, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. Golden State’s Game 3 winning starters were Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney.

Green had a part in the suggestion for him to come off the bench with Steve Kerr, per Charania.
The suggestion of coming off the bench was in part from Draymond Green, who had a conversation about it with Steve Kerr on Saturday, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. https://t.co/ztsjjF51QB

With Green coming off the bench, the Warriors could stick with the same starting lineup that got out to fast start in Game 3 against the Kings. Jordan Poole will enter the lineup alongside Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Kevon Looney.
Without Green in the frontcourt, Looney grabbed 20 rebounds in Game 3 on the way to the Warriors 114-97.
Along with Green, the Warriors will also get back Gary Payton II in the rotation. Payton II missed Game 3 due to an illness.
The Warriors will tip off against the Kings at 12:30 p.m. PT on Sunday in the Bay Area.
