Report: Von Miller suffers ankle injury, feared out for season

The Denver Broncos’ Von Miller suffered a freak ankle injury at practice Tuesday.

The Denver Broncos’ season hasn’t started and the team could have suffered a huge loss.

It is reported star linebacker Von Miller suffered an ankle injury at practice Tuesday, per NFL Network. The fear is the multi-time Pro Bowler could be done for the season. He is having an MRI and that will explain how severe the injury is.

The injury happened near the end of practice. Denver opens its season Monday night, playing host to the Tennessee Titans.

Per the Denver Post:

Because of poor weather conditions, the Broncos practiced inside for the first time since they opened training camp.

Two major precincts are reporting.

Miller was the second overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He has 106 career sacks. He saw a streak of five straight double-digit QB drop seasons end last year when he had eight in 15 games. He was MVP of Super Bowl 50 and is an eight-time Pro Bowler.

Miller ranks first in total pressures generated (640) since entering the NFL in 2011, reports Pro Football Focus.
