Report: Vikings RB Dalvin Cook showed up on time for reporting/testing window

The Vikings have their reporting/testing window for veterans at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, and Vikings running back Dalvin Cook reportedly showed up.

News came out earlier this offseason that Dalvin Cook would reportedly hold out until he receives a reasonable deal.

There haven’t been any official reports that he has received a new deal yet. But the Vikings have their reporting/testing window for veterans at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, and Cook showed up, according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin.

There was a whirlwind of a news cycle regarding Cook this week.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Cook assured him he would come to training camp. Cook’s agent reportedly denied that Cook said this.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported that Cook told Vikings running backs coach Kennedy Polamalu that Cook plans to report to training camp. Polamalu then told Zimmer, who texted with Cook on July 25 to straighten things out, per Pelissero.

But then, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Cook’s agent told him that Cook “never mentioned to (Polamalu) anything in regards to reporting to camp.”

This is gearing up to be an interesting training camp for the Vikings.
