With all the enticing quarterbacks in this year’s draft, it would be interesting if the Vikings decided to take a quarterback who could develop behind Kirk Cousins.
Sure, Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson are most likely off the table at this point, assuming the team doesn’t trade up. However, there are plenty of quarterbacks beyond those two, some of whom have the potential to wind up as starting-caliber players.
Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond would be an interesting choice. Mond has a quick release and can make plays, even when he’s under pressure. The Vikings were in attendance for Texas A&M’s pro day to watch Mond, according to Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy.
