Report: Vikings allowing players to do Phase 1 of offseason workouts virtually

The Minnesota Vikings will allow its players to do phase one of spring workouts virtually.

Minnesota is set to start virtual workouts on Monday. But when the team would be meeting in-person to do workouts this spring remained up in the air.

The Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling shed some light on the situation. Goessling reported that the Vikings will do Phase 1 of offseason workouts virtually. It “didn’t seem logical to put bonuses on the line for a brief workout,” Goessling said.

As Goessling pointed out, Minnesota has a lot of players with workout bonuses. The Vikings have 10 in total, eight of which have $100,000 or more in workout money. You can see every Vikings player with a workout bonus here.
