New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady doesn’t mind the idea of bringing Antonio Brown aboard in 2020, according to ESPN. In fact, Brady is keeping tabs on Brown, who is out of the NFL while facing allegations of sexual assault and rape.
Though Brown has showed signs of a wild temper on social media, where he fluctuates between apologies and tantrums with regularity, Brown may end up back in the NFL, if only because he’s one of the NFL’s best wideouts. Perhaps he’ll earn a suspension for the allegations and his erratic behavior on social media. But that hasn’t ceased Brady’s interest.

“Ready for a wild audible? Two people close to Antonio Brown — yes, that Antonio Brown — told us Brady keeps in consistent contact with Brown and has told Brown he wants to play with him wherever Brady goes next.
“According to one of Brown’s attorneys, Brady has told Brown to keep mentally and physically strong so the two can reunite on the field at Brady’s next stop. Anything concerning Brown should be taken with not a grain but a bucket of salt at this point, but it does seem as if Brady and Brown formed at least some level of connection in their incredibly brief time together in New England.”
Brady is a pending free agent, and it’s anyone’s guess where he’ll land in 2020. He can sign an extension with the Patriots at any time between now and the new league year on March 16. But at that point, he’s also allowed to sign a deal with a new team. And perhaps he and Brown will and in the same place next season.
Brown was only with the Patriots for 11 days, but his impact on the field was obvious. Though New England’s system is notoriously challenging, he quickly contributed, with four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. But that’s only one side of Brown’s impact. His civil lawsuit brought tumult and criticism to New England, so much so that they released him.
