Toledo’s Reggie Gilliam can provide a lot of things at the NFL level.
He could play tight end, full back or fill out a special teams role in a variety of ways. And Minnesota has reportedly taken notice.
Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports reported that Gilliam has received interest from the Vikings. He has also received interest from the Bills, Ravens, Giants, Lions, Dolphins, Broncos, Browns, Colts and the Raiders.
Edholm also said that Gilliam is a high-character player who would be “outstanding” as a special teams player.
Toledo TE-FB Reggie Gilliam, a sleeper fave of mine, received interest from Bills, Ravens, Giants, Lions, Dolphins, Broncos, Vikings, Browns, Colts, Raiders
Super high character. Outstanding special teamer (kick blocker). Willing to do whatever is asked. Likely PFA.

That said, the team reportedly extended fullback C.J. Ham, and tight end Kyle Rudolph is still on the roster and has been solid in the receiving game.
The Vikings could use a serviceable backup and a special teams player, though. Gilliam had four blocked kicks for Toledo in 2018. If that could possibly translate, he could be explosive for the Vikings.
